RTO Marketing Guidelines: A Compliance Checklist for RTO Managers
RTOs are the backbone of Australia’s vocational education and training
sector. Registered Training
Organisations (RTOs) are registered with the Australian Skills Quality
Authority (ASQA) to deliver nationally accredited training and assessment to
students. As an RTO, you must comply with the National Standards for Training Packages,
Units
of Competency and Registered Training Qualifications (commonly referred to
as the National Standards).
As per the
National Standards for Registered
Training organisations (RTOs), you must provide evidence to the
Commonwealth Government that you’re compliant with all regulations, policies
and procedures. You must also demonstrate that you’re actively managing your
compliance with these regulations and policies. If you don’t, this could lead
to the cancellation of your RTO accreditation.
Failure to
comply with the National Standards for Registered Training Organisations is a
serious matter, which may result in an investigation and the possibility of
being decertified as an RTO. It’s crucial for RTOs to ensure their compliance and
understand the implications if they don’t.
